The story so far…

There is no “I” in team yet there is at Business Process Vision – at least for now! We are at the beginning of a journey that will result in businesses of any size having an unshakable confidence in their ability to grow and reach full potential!

In my work as a Business Analyst I was heavily involved in Business Process Management (BPM). This involved the documentation, measurement, and improvement of business processes and communicating this information to staff and other stakeholders. It began to really sink in just how important capturing and communicating business processes was to raising business “awareness” and maximizing potential.

However, there was a significant barrier that was greatly limiting the benefits that businesses could receive through Business Process Management. The tools and practice of BPM were designed more for the analyst to help understand, analyze, and re-engineer processes. Now this was fine for IT based automation that did not involve human input but for anything that involved a “real” person it was lacking.

It was not unusual for staff to be given an hour’s training and a 30 page manual to learn about a vital new process that they needed to perform. I soon found that this was not only inadequate and inefficient but often the training was completely ignored by staff to the detriment of the business.

I started to experiment with video recording of business processes and procedures having seen it used widely in the analysis and improvement of elite sports teams and athletes. Once the technical process analysis had been done, the “real time” recording of any improved process or procedure could be conducted then rapidly edited, produced, and shared with staff via their personal computers. Both managers and staff loved the videos and were enthusiastically using them to effectively learn from the rich, multi-media information.

With Business Process Vision, I wanted to establish a site on the Internet where I could share my discovery with business owners and work with them to improve, develop, and create a highly effective Business Process Video format and methodology. Business Process Vision is committed to providing the knowledge, support, and tools to empower you to transform your business into a fully “conscious” and replicable organization. To provide you with the ability to clearly see all processes and procedures that uniquely comprise your entire business and accurately communicate them with a clarity and richness unheard of until now!
